Choosing care for a loved one with memory challenges can feel overwhelming. At Safe Haven for Adults, we aim to make the process clear, supportive, and respectful from the very first conversation.
This page outlines what families can expect when reaching out to us and how our non-medical supervision services work.
Starting The Conversation
Reaching Out
When you contact us, you’re not committing to services — you’re starting a conversation.
We’ll listen to your concerns, ask a few basic questions about your loved one’s needs, and explain how our services may be a good fit. All inquiries are handled with care and confidentiality.
Learning about your loved one
Understanding Individual Needs
Every individual is different. Before care begins, we take time to understand routines, preferences, safety needs, and any memory-related challenges.
Families are asked to share relevant information so care can be provided in a way that feels familiar, respectful, and supportive.
CARE ENVIRONMENT
Where Care Takes Place
Services may be provided in a calm, home-based environment or in the client’s home, depending on individual needs and arrangements.
Our focus is on supervision, comfort, routine, and peace of mind — not medical treatment.
DAILY CARE & ROUTINE
What Care Looks Like
Care is centered around daily structure and supervision, including:
• Safety monitoring
• Companionship and reassurance
• Meal and hydration support
• Medication reminders (non-administration)
• Support with daily routinesWe follow established routines whenever possible to help reduce confusion and anxiety.
COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILIES
Staying Connected
Families can expect clear and respectful communication. We believe transparency and consistency are essential, especially when caring for individuals with memory challenges.
Any concerns or changes are discussed promptly, and families are encouraged to ask questions at any time.
